An Evening Without Intention

Some evenings do not need to be fixed.

They only need to be allowed to unfold.

There is a moment between returning home and settling down —

when the body is present, but the mind is still elsewhere.

Scent, in these moments, is not meant to change how we feel.

It is simply a signal — that we have arrived.

No routine is required.

No expectation is placed.

The space softens gradually,

and with it, the pace of the evening.

Ritual, sometimes, is nothing more than permission.
